Local Unit & Position Description

DNV Business Assurance is seeking a Food and Beverage Sector Manager to support the sector and the SQF, BRC, and other F&B accreditation schemes.

This position can be performed out of any of our DNV offices in the continental U.S. with flexible work arrangement (home/office).

What You'll Do

Resource Management:

  • Manage and support auditor staff, including Annual Goal Process, Sector Meetings, and Annual Training
  • Actively participate in progression/utilization meetings
  • Understand resource needs and support hiring and onboarding processes of new auditors
  • Participate in recruitment process (review resumes and determine possible TA's with technical)
  • Complete required competency documents and support development & maintenance for new and existing auditors
  • Support clients and Account Representatives for any issues that arise regarding auditor performance

Operations/Process Support:
  • Technical Support between auditors and the GCU
  • Run specific reports to ensure Technical Review timeliness
Perform administrative/technical reviews:
  • Varies based upon ability to audit and need for this function
Billable audit days:
  • Responsible for the team to Plan, execute, and report the results of audits and follow-up, within agreed timescales and economic budgets

Position Qualifications

What is Required

Management Experience
  • Minimum five (2) years' management experience with demonstrable ability to manage team KPI's, monitor and provide performance feedback to individual members of team, and provide direct support to clients as needed.

Accreditation Experience, one of the following applies:
  • Min. two (2) years' work experience with the relevant certification scheme; SQF, BRC, or FSSC
--Or-
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret technical requirements and/or accreditation rules and apply them to their respective industry during administrative/technical reviews of documentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
  • We conduct a pre-employment background check and drug screen

What is Preferred

If Auditing:
  • Current Lead Auditor certification for QMS (9001), EMS (14001), and OHSAS (18001)
