The Oncology Financial Counselor provides individualized assistance to patients, families, caregivers and providers, to facilitate timely access to care, ensure a seamless revenue cycle process and to help overcome health care system barriers through all phases. Also ensures all patients receive financial clearance (pre-cert authorization), which would include appeal guidelines mandated by specific insurance payors, for all services with the appropriate amount of lead time.

8am - 4:30pm

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school graduate and 5-7 years previous hospital experience. Thorough knowledge and understanding of third party billing regulations, insurance pre-cert/authorization requirements, collection policies and procedures, and assisted care regulations is required.
