Holman Insurance Services is a full-service brokerage managing personal and commercial insurance products for auto, home, boat, recreational vehicle and life insurance from an array of top-rated carriers. We work with clients as their insurance advocate, asking the right questions to find them the right coverage with the right carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct monthly & quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting & ledger maintenance
  • Monitor and update Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis and send to Controller for review
  • Periodically upload Income Statement from agency management system into the Annual Income Statement excel file for Holman Insurance Services, Maple Shade Assurance, and Risk Partners
  • After month end close, run the needed reports to update the "Monthly Scorecard", and subsequently review file with the Controller to ascertain that the information is valid and accurate
  • Maintain the daily Cash Forecast, applying predictive analytics and known cash inflows and outflows to advise of any large variances and low funding
  • Perform various ad hoc projects including researching, analyzing and summarizing data/analysis requests as assigned
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for Assistant Controller's review
  • Responsible for reviewing processes and recommending enhancements/changes in order for the accounting unit to provide exceptional support
  • Review and Reconcile Broker Payables on a monthly basis and send check requests to the AP clerk for payment processing
  • Review Direct Bill receivable ageing and provide recommendations on collectability
  • Run and review aged receivables on a weekly basis, make necessary recommendations to business line and Controller
  • Review and post biweekly payroll and process 401K funding
  • Assist with the completion of the monthly financial package
  • Assist in the streamlining of processes and procedures, using advanced computer skills and a unique/fresh look to examine why the organization is processing things in the way that it does

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES
  • Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem solving
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people/personalities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • College Graduate or Commiserate Work Experience
  • 3+ years of Accounting Work Experience
