Role Description

An exciting opportunity exists within the Zoetis Global Manufacturing & Supply Finance organization for a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to be a business partner with the Lincoln Operations team based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, continuous improvement, and cost accounting.This position will report into the Plant Controller for Lincoln Operations and support them in providing a full range of financial responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, product cost analysis, and monthly close activities.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Establish effective working relationships with finance and operations colleagues at the site, and other key stakeholders. Maintain close working relationship with Finance Site Lead, Materials Management and Site Leadership Team
• Establish a strong understanding of the operations and financials and drive continuous improvement in finance processes
• Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly operations summary, latest estimate (LE) summary, and budget package submissions
• Support Plant Controller with annual budget setting process within site, including understanding volume, yield and price changes; assist with preparation of site operating expense budgets
• Collaborates with US GMS Finance Center of Excellence and Zoetis Financial Services to ensure successful completion of month end close, latest estimate and budget activities
• Oversees monthly, quarterly, and yearly Distressed Inventory reporting and analysis
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and Zoetis accounting policies and procedures, including authorized signature limits (ASL). Co-ordinate internal and external audit activity
• Promote a strong financial controls environment including compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience
• Process Improvement knowledge and background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple and diverse projects
• Ability to provide direction to achieve a high level of financial performance and compliance
• High level of proficiency in spreadsheet-based software applications
• Previous experience with SAP desired
