Vertiv, a global leader in network power solutions, seeks an Analyst at its Columbus, OH, headquarters location to join our Americas FP&A team. The successful candidate will be providing analysis of plans and results, contributing to annual and monthly forecasting processes, modeling business outcomes, and providing business decision support to senior leaders, as well as other tasks critical to serving as a trusted business partner. The ideal candidate is committed to root cause analysis that delivers insight, not just information, and regularly displays an inquisitiveness that craves continuous learning and drives continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Adeptly utilize existing tools and applications to review and analyze business segments results that provide insights to business leaders
• Lead development, execution, and monitoring of key firmwide financial initiatives, primarily Fixed Cost Controls
• Contribute to the reporting commitments of the finance function to its various stakeholders and internal customers
• Support the complete integrity of Vertiv financial information through vigilant accounting and reporting accuracy
• Review functional activities to identify continuous improvements to the business
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and other tasks as requested

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, finance or accounting background preferred but not required.
• 1-3+ years of finance or accounting experience
• Profoundly inquisitive with the desire to consistently exceed expectations
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to discern from available data what should be pertinent to upper levels of management
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, from the C-Suite to the shop floor.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another ERP system a plus
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management a plus
