What you will do
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Installationand Service Technician. As a key part of the team, the Installation and ServiceTechnician works in retail stores to install and repair Inventory Control andVideo equipment.
How you will do it
* Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retailproducts and equipment at customer sites.
* Keep track of your service calls via computer, including products serviced,work performed, hours and parts utilized.
* Maintain an accurate parts inventory at levels that insure a first time fix.
* Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly.
* Keep your manager in the loop about your customer's satisfaction, anypotential sales opportunities or any recurring problems.
* Takecare of other tasks as needed
Whatwe look for
Required:
* High School Diploma or GED
* 2 years Associates degree in Electronics
* In lieu of Associate's degree, certification/formalized training inElectronics, Networking, or technical military equivalent
* Must have a valid driver's license
* 3 years prior work experience in related field.
* Completed basic EAS and Video training and certifications
* Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
* General knowledge of electronics required.
* Willing to obtain or have State License as required. (State Dependent)
* Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.
* Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipmentand tools up to 50-70 lbs.
* Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbingladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working withinducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
* Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learnquickly.
* Must be capable of working independently or as a team
* Working Knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
* Excellent written and oral skills
* Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
* Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents
* Certified in all Video & RFID solution currently sold and serviced byRetail - preferred
* Network Certification - Full competency in all required networking, advancedperformance
* Networking Fundamentals
* Networking Fundamentals Part One: Network Addresses
* TRS - Networking 101
* Ability to mentor and train others
* Ability to perform service on more complete integrated solutions
