RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking a Field Security Tech in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Responsibilities:

• Field Security Tech will respond to all types of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis; Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug a substantial variety of Security systems for complex problems
• Install, troubleshoot, and optimize Physical Security Devices, including Hardware and Software issues
• Identify and resolve problems for all types of service calls including emergency calls; Analyze repair requirements and provide customer with appropriate solutions; Complete necessary repairs and replacements as needed; Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results; May require originality and ingenuity in some situations
• May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits, and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation; May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects
• Provide technical support to end users and field labor when applicable; Transfer knowledge and expertise to other Specialists
• Keep up to date and informed on all company products, services, and policies
• As a Field Security Tech, you will perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
• Maintain high platform performance levels, maximum uptime, and the overall integrity of production systems
• Streamline and continually improve operations through monitoring, support and diagnostic tools and scripts
• Follows federal and state laws, as well as company policies

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S in IT or Computer Science or work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium to large sized jobs required
• Experience with companies Avigilon/Verkada brands
• Expert managing and administrating systems update and patching in an enterprise environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
• Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with 3rd party applications
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the company's mission; Supports company's goals and strategic priorities
• Able to work and interact with staff and relates to individuals at all levels of the organization; Relates to individuals at all levels; As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image

• Demonstrates excellent oral (including presentations), written, interpersonal (active listening), skills and ability in negotiating and influencing; Excellent phone etiquette
• Thinks ahead and plans over a 3-5 year time span
• Able to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to travel by air and car up to 60%
