Your role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Field Marketing Manager will personify a technical expert to accelerate, enhance, and enable the sales process with the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/F&B (and related) Markets focusing on the fast-growing services side of the business.

The Field Marketing Manager role at all levels incorporates two core role components defined as; 'Voice of the Customer' - systematically incorporating customer feedback and market trends to the greater business via field marketing and sales management leadership teams, and be a 'Marketing Partner to the Field' - delivering content and tools to the commercial organization.

  • Act as a resource to help qualify and advance opportunities through to order execution.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Field Marketing colleagues, R&D, Product Management, and other critical business partners as needed, documenting, tracking, and reporting activities within approved systems.
  • Raise the level of awareness internally & externally around our product and services portfolio, market trends, regulatory drivers, competitive threats, potential collaboration projects, and related strategic initiatives within the business.
  • Support our North American local marcom and lead generation campaigns by championing specific tactical activities that drive product awareness and support our sales target achievement goals.
  • Create and deploy direct electronic mailing pieces; reporting on marketing campaign metrics and lead & opportunity tracking within our SalesForce.com CRM system; sales collateral creation, review, and deployment of specific sales tools to sales team.
  • Possess a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, competition, and regulatory standards associated with the BioMonitoringBusiness.
  • Align with Global Product Management, to collect and organize feedback from the field and the market. This regional data will then be incorporated into Global strategies.
  • Provide local input to global annual marketing plans for the BioMonitoring business franchise.
  • Participate in new product development; active participation and commitment to product portfolio planning and short/long term segment strategy.
  • Support complex product change notifications for communication and implementation.
  • Drive the development of local sales tools as needed.
  • Identify and Guide towards New Opportunities partnered with sales.
  • Drive and track new product seeding.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in necessary seminars, conferences, and/or tradeshows, being a consultant to the industry.
  • Influence and help map strategy related to pricing, positioning, and segments.
  • Execute regional product content and salesforce training.
  • Travel: 50% domestic and international (1-2 international trips per year) to customers, tradeshows, sales team training, etc...

Who You Are:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of sales and /or marketing experience with technical products or services within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food & Beverage, or related industry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SFDC/ServiceMax, Profiler, Google Analytics, and other marketing analytics software
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, execute, and report on marketing metrics and service-related activities/revenues (validation, training, method development, etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (inform/listen/present opinions and feedback) consult/conceptualize/market solutions, design & deliver presentations & sales tools, innovate on behalf of the customer, prioritize, and organize work.
  • Thorough understanding of competition & market landscape, customer strategy, organization, and process, MilliporeSigma products/services/solutions, MilliporeSigma strategy & organization, product/solution positioning & marketing, Biopharma, Food and Beverage testing workflows, and sales processes.
