Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for a Federal Programs Business Development Manager - Army with a strong track record of client service management and federal business development. Core services include environmental, engineering, design, and construction.

Position is part of the Sector Growth & Development Team and reports directly to the Government Sector Lead.

Work Location : Flexible

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead strategic business development opportunities for the Wood global Army account
  • Identify, develop, and expand business development opportunities with key USACE districts and Army decision-makers
  • Develop/provide input to and execute the government sector strategic plan
  • Identify and drive strategic sales opportunities for both sales and revenue growth
  • Serve as capture manager and assist in the preparation of major proposals and/or task order bids (may include non-USACE/Army opportunities)
  • Work with Program Managers to maximize sales on existing Army IDIQ contracts
  • Act as a liaison between USACE/Army and internal teams during execution to ensure client requirements are met and strong CPARS rating are attained
  • Interact with other government accounts/programs as part of a cross-functional team (i.e. Air Force, Navy, EPA, DOE, FEMA, etc.)
  • Attend key conferences and client events to maintain awareness of DoD initiatives and business opportunities, network, and promote the Wood brand


Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of federal business development experience
  • Ability to travel (client/internal meetings, conferences, project sites, etc.)
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Proven leader with a strong background in strategic planning, business development, capture management, and execution of complex projects/programs
  • Demonstrated experience in AE design, environmental, or civil works programs
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport and a trust with key clients, executive leaders, and team members
  • Strong understanding of USACE mission requirements and knowledge of organizational structure and key players
  • Be positive, persuasive, open, and professional with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess a collaborative and team-oriented attitude, driven by the success of Wood, and not merely personal or Sector results
