Family First Implementation Support Specialist

Job Summary

As a part of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Social Work and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) are collaborating to support the implementation of evidence-based interventions (EBI) to prevent child abuse and neglect in Illinois. The Implementation Support Specialist will support provider
agencies implementing EBI's throughout Central Illinois to enhance family access to services, increase awareness, and general knowledge of EBI's.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide support to agencies implementing EBI's and child welfare agencies to enhance access to services. This includes presentations to community stakeholders.

Support the development of effective strategies to advance the engagement/"buy in" and ongoing skill development of stakeholders in the implementation of the FFPSA.

Implement strategies to foster engagement, coordination, and integration of evidence-based child welfare practices as required to achieve specified outcomes.

Build collegial relationships with diverse professional networks and support program communications with stakeholders by providing program data and information.

Monitor and promote fidelity to the evidence-based models.

In collaboration with IDCFS, participate in the implementation of program evaluation and research activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications
Five years of professional work experience in public-sponsored, agency-based child welfare setting providing a combination of direct child welfare casework, including Intact Family Services.

Specialty Factors
Experience: Two years of professional work experience in public-sponsored, agency-based child welfare setting providing a combination of direct child welfare casework including Intact Family Services. Demonstrated experience using evidence-based intervention, using data to inform practice improvements, and facilitating professional groups.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 11/2/2022. Salary is commensurate with experience.
