Position Summary

The Facilities Technician II assists the Facilities Supervisor in the maintenance of Teleflex facilities. They will perform typical maintenance tasks to support the facility; including the assembly floor, and will complete prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required. They will properly document repairs activities as required by GMP and OSHA.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance of facility equipment
• Address facility improvement and repair requests in a timely manner
• Assist with construction projects and directing service contractors
• Conduct facility safety and cleanliness inspections, conducting safety training for new hires, and responding to safety/emergency situations
• Complete and document all facilities tasks per required GMP's
• Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects
• Assist with security related tasks including programming and issuing ID badges
• Respond to and resolve after hour and weekend emergency issues

Education / Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required - Technical degree preferred
• Six years of related experience is required without a degree
• Four years of related experience is required with a degree

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of common facility equipment maintenance
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Strong verbal and writing skills
• Basic computer skills required, including MS Office
• Access to reliable, on-demand transportation to perform duties at multiple sites during work hours and after-hours/weekends
