AZZ Enclosure Systems is looking for an experiencedFabricatorfor the Chattanooga facility.

Fabricator Welders at AZZ plan layout, weld, and fabricate industrial enclosures and skids according to customer specifications as indicated on drawings

Perform the following tasks:

• Cut base / platform material to length using band saw (plasma torch may be utilized as necessary)
• Prep exterior members by welding ground pads and lifting lug hardware into place
• Cope cross members
• Program Plasma table for plate processing
• Process plate on Plasma table
• Layout / fit up base / platform exterior and cross members
• Level / square the bases / platforms
• Splice structural beams as required
• Install Plate / grating material
• Weld out the bases / platforms
• Install bezels for flush mount cover plates
• Install bottom mounted cover plates
• Cut structural and stair material to length at the correct angles
• Cut handrail material to length and notch for proper weld application using notching equipment
• Bend handrail material to proper angles using tubing bender
• Mount hand rail attachment plates
• Assemble / weld stair / handrail out components
• Assemble / level bases
• Install floor plates
• Install floor channel
• Install Tubing
• Install door frames
• Install exterior walls
• Install wall cap
• Install ceiling angle
• Frame up cut outs
• Install insulation
• Install interior skin
• Install ceiling and ceiling insulation
• Install roof
• Install flashing
• Install personnel and equipment doors
• Install super structure
• Split and weld the enclosurePerform work in accordance with the AZZ safety policies
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Train helpers in applicable equipment and safety procedures
• Coordinate projects and assign work to helpers, ensuring all work is completed according to specifications and in time frame specified for customer
• Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and/or equipment
• Perform additional tasks as requested

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• AWS certification preferred
• CWB certification preferred

Required Skills:

• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
• Strong math skills
• Ability to pass applicable weld tests
• Strong and clear communication skills - ability to give clear directions to others
• Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Ability to operate forklift and other lifting devices
• Knowledge of OSHA procedures, particularly Lockout Tagout.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• MIG, TIG and Flux Core welding experience.
• At least 3 years' experience as Fabricator Helper or 3 years previous work in Fabrication field.
