Responsibilities
The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a growth centered strategic business plan for McGlinn Cancer Institute and driving profitable service line development, and improving operations in terms of employee engagement, quality, patient experience, and processes. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Lead the service line strategic planning and business development for McGlinn Cancer Institute, which includes identifying stakeholder engagement strategies, new service offerings, technology advances, and other opportunities to drive differentiation and support the growth agenda; Foster an unparalleled patient experience culture that differentiates McGlinn Cancer Institute as the leading place to practice and receive oncological care, attracting physicians, caregivers, and patients; Ensure physician alignment and care team engagement and ease of access/practice by leading efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and drive performance improvement initiatives designed to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost; Make significant contributions to the development, implementation, and alignment of system and local strategy resulting in the transformation to a clinical enterprise; Assists and supports, as needed, with physician recruitment activities for McGlinn Cancer Institute; Attends medical staff meetings and/or medical staff committee meetings as assigned or requested; Represents McGlinn Cancer Institute and Reading Hospital by membership in related professional and community associations; Collaborates with decision support and IT to develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor the progression of McGlinn Cancer Institute's development.
