Description

The Nebraska Department of Banking & Finance (NDBF) is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual interested in financial services to help us fulfill our vision of making Nebraska the most trusted financial home for people and businesses.

The NDBF regulates financial institutions and entities which are Nebraska chartered, registered, and licensed. Financial Institution Examiners participate in the assessment of Nebraska state-chartered financial institutions to determine the existence of unsafe and unsound practices, violations of law and regulation, the adequacy of internal controls/procedures, financial adequacy, and the general performance of management. Additionally, as the financial and technological landscapes continue to merge, Financial Institution Examiners will leverage evolving technologies involving analytics, risk focused algorithms, operating standards, and the voice of the consumer in conducting various NDBF examinations.

NDBF provides an opportunity for you to make a positive difference through our important and meaningful work. We offer an excellent total compensation package, including 12 paid holidays; vacation and sick leave; retirement; health, dental, vision, and life insurance options; and educational and training opportunities.

NDBF's Mission is to protect and maintain the public's confidence in Nebraska's financial industries. NDBF is an innovative agency where employees and customers alike are valued. Our customers are the citizens of Nebraska and the Financial Industries we supervise. We have aligned with Governor Rickett's Vision to "Grow Nebraska" by creating opportunities through creating a more efficient, more effective customer-focused Department. If you are interested in becoming part of a team where customer service and protecting consumers through fair and common-sense supervision are priorities, NDBF is the place for you!
