EverCommerce is looking for an experienced VP of Communications to lead the delivery of corporate communications, both internally and externally, and support the company's brand and public image.

As VP of Communications, you will report to the CMO and lead the creation of effective communication strategies that promote EverCommerce to its customers, partners, employees, shareholders and the broader public across its key industries.

You are passionate about building the growth of brands through clear, succinct, aspirational communication strategies. You are an avid lover of building brand and communication pillars that can unite teams in an organization, instill loyalty with partners and customers, and ignite excitement for investors. You have an expert level understanding of information architecture and the intersection of earned/owned/paid media; you have managed media relationships and internal/external teams who can build and execute successful content and communication plans.

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed across North America, with more than 40 office locations in the U.S. and Canada. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States; if you're near one of our offices and want to work in-office, we can set that up, or this role can be 100% remote. You must be eligible to work in the United States or Canada in order to qualify for this role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and implementing an integrated strategic communications plan to support EverCommerce's brand identity, including building and integrating communications teams to support trade media relationships under its umbrella of brands.
  • Serving as an ambassador spokesperson for the company, building relationships with national, local and trade media.
  • Working in close collaboration with People Experience to build our internal communications strategy, optimizing employee connection platforms and change management processes.
  • Serving as editor-in-chief for all corporate communications, both internally and externally
  • Developing and refining narratives and thought leadership themes that resonate with media and customer audiences and address small business challenges, software market trends, broader economic small business impacts, evolving workplace dynamics, and DEIB topics, among others

  • Implementing processes to source newsworthy content from internal/external teams and developing them into press releases, media briefs, social media posts, and thought leadership articles
  • Developing information and messaging architecture, media calendars, and corporate communication policies for EverCommerce and its brands to integrate strategy and execution across its global teams
  • Leading the editorial process and coaching teams on writing and optimal communication strategy improvements; providing guidance on performance and engagement metrics

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations. Strong portfolio, showcasing high-quality execution as well as strong strategy and creative direction
  • Demonstrated expertise in information architecture, AR/PR/ positioning and messaging, and multimedia channels
  • Master project management skills with superb attention to detail
  • Standout communication and presentation skills with extraordinary ability to collaborate constructively and cross-functionally
  • Bachelor's Degree required

Compensation: The total compensation for this role is $175,000 to $200,000 annually in Denver and most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
