EverCommerce seeking a Security Engineer with a strong knowledge of penetration testing, security operations, incident response, networking, to conduct internal, external, web application and mobile application security testing and to support and promote security across multiple environments. The primary mission is to prevent intrusion, exfiltration of company information and to ensure compliance with relevant security standards. As well as secure and maintain our most sensitive IT environments.

Responsibilities:

• Identify weaknesses and potential threats to existing information security
  
• Perform continual testing on current systems to determine potential problems or security threats
  
• Prepare reports for internal clients detailing the security issues, making recommendations and identifying solutions
  
• Develop clear and detailed action plans for Subsidiaries and Operation teams to implement
  
• Conduct cloud security reviews and network security assessments
  
• Provide advice on hacking tools and techniques including advanced malware detection
  
• Keep up to date with the latest thinking on secure coding and cyber-security issues
  
• Support the business with a range of compliance requirements
  
• Assist in regulatory compliance audits, including HIPAA, PCI, etc.
  
• Review vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans
  
• Participate in incident response and post incident investigations
  
• Develop and provide security related training and technical documentation
  
• Support and maintain dedicated security operations infrastructure
  
• Provide and maintain documentation of processes, architecture, and configurations
  
• Work with vendors in the research, development and implementation of security technologies
  
• Work with leadership in implementing the security strategy and roadmap
  
• Support the Security Operations Team in incident identification, response and remediation

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed across North America, with more than 40 office locations in the U.S. and Canada. Our headquarters are in Denver's RiNo Arts District, across from the 38th & Blake RTD Station. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States - if you're close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely.Please note that you must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship in order to qualify for this position.

Experience and Skills

Must haves:

• 3 years of experience in information security, web application testing, and/or network penetration testing; and at least 2 years of experience in IT administration
  
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or a combination of certifications and experience that equate to a degree
  
• Working knowledge of:

  • Antimalware platforms
    
  • Vulnerability Management
    
• Strong understanding of security principles, policies and industry best practices
  
• Professional certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, CEH or similar
  
• Network administration skills to test internal systems such as firewalls
  
• Encryption technologies, ethical hacking and penetration testing
  
• Proven ability to test and audit an IT environment and provide security and process recommendations
  
• Ability to learn quickly
  
• Comfortable working at a small dynamic company
  
• Ability to document your work in detail
  
• Crisis management when required
  
• Ability to manage multiple critical tasks at the same time
  
• Can use good judgment to solve problems where protocol might not exist
  
• Solid communication skills and expertise to translate technical jargon into business familiar language

Compensation: The salary for this position is in the $75k-$85krange. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
