Position Title: Event Assistant (Temporary, Part-Time, up to 19.5 hours per week)
Department: West Campus, Performing Arts
Rate of Pay: EA1 - $13.00/ hour
Closed Date: December 31, 2022; 5:00 PM Arizona Time
Position Summary:
Duties include work relating to box office cashiering, monitoring front-of house activities and/or operation of technical theater equipment during Center for the Arts productions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ticket sales
- Cash handling
- Monitoring ushers and audience members
- Sound and/or light board operation
- Assisting stage crew
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
- Six months experience in a customer service related position such as events, retail or hospitality fields
- Six months experience in performing arts production
- Knowledge of customer service fundamentals
- Experience using digital technology especially box office or cashiering software
- Ability to lead others
- Experience using technical theater equipment
- Experience cashiering
- Experience in the performing arts and/or events management industry
Positions in this class typically require: fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods or moving from one work site to another.
