Where you come in:

Responsible for technician support of equipment, processes and/or electronics related to Dexcom's Operations, Engineering and R&D located in the Production and Research & Development Departments. Also prepares and maintains appropriate documents.

What makes you successful:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment, processes and/or electronics issues, defines and implements improvements to equipment, processes and/or electronics deficiencies.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance duties on equipment, processes and/or electronics as required. Maintain maintenance documents and replacement parts and work with manufacturers to maintain equipment, processes and/or electronics in a safe and functional condition.
  • Perform activities in the functioning, programming and integration of automated equipment, processes and/or electronics to assume specialist role in the equipment, processes and/or electronics process you are involved in.
  • Ability to contribute to the coordination and direction of activities in the development of equipment, processes and/or electronics as directed by project engineer with minimum supervision. Support equipment, processes and/or electronics development projects including planning, purchasing, assembly and testing of equipment, processes and/or electronics.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned including group leader activities.
  • Perform all assigned task with appropriate safety precautions.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4-6+ years related production equipment, processes and/or electronics technician experience

Preferred Qualifications:

B.A. in equipment, processes and/or electronics related curriculum is preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with equipment, processes and/or electronics related curriculum
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Required: Training and development/cross site assistance

  • 15-25%

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Physical Demands:

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts, work with chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light, fast-paced work, and elevated noise levels.

Work Schedule:

1A Sunday through Tuesday, every other Wednesday 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
