Medium Tractor Products currently has an opening for an Engineering Project Team Leader located in Washington, IL, leading the Engine Installation and Cooling Team. This team has responsibility for multiple facets of product design for the tractor products portfolio which includes the D6-D8 Track Type Tractors and PL83-PL87 Pipelayers. In this position, you'll lead a talented team of engineers, guiding them through New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) projects. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our products meet and exceed expectations in terms of scope, quality, speed, and cost across various machine platforms. What You Will Do:

  • Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Coordinating resources across the businesses with sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain, and manufacturing.
  • Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
  • Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering curriculum
  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Team Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.
  • Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Top Candidates Will Have :
  • Technical knowledge and experience in engine installation and cooling design, engines or cooling systems design.
  • Deep understanding of NPI processes and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to make priority decisions while working and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Info :
  • Location: Washington, IL (United States)
  • Travel: 10-15% (Domestic and International)
  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.
