VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is excited to announce an opening for an Emergency Veterinarian to join our team of 5 Emergency Doctors, 5 Criticalists, 3 ECC Residents, and our veterinary social worker! The open shift is a swing shift 3 days/week that rotates on a monthly basis.

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is an exciting place to work. We are the largest referral center in the greater Los Angeles area and have a strong teaching culture with a large rotating internship, multiple specialty internships, and residency programs in ECC, surgery, and cardiology. With 61 doctors, our services offered include internal medicine, surgery, emergency & critical care, neurology, cardiology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, dentistry, behavior, general practice, zoo medicine/surgery, and rehabilitation/integrative medicine.

We have a fast-paced emergency room with a diverse caseload that is guaranteed to keep you on your toes! Because of our numerous readily available specialties and a well-equipped facility, you'll be able to help nearly any patient presented to you. Spread over 3 floors, we have 9 surgical suites, an interventional radiology catheter lab, 128-slice Toshiba CT, 1.5T GE MRI, Puritan Bennett 980 mechanical ventilator, CCU Telemetry with remote access, 2 GE Logiq E10 ultrasound machines, 4 point-of-care ultrasound machines, table-top fluoroscopy and C-arm fluoroscopy, Storz endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment, a linear accelerator, and more!

The competitive candidate will be internship-trained with a strong interest in emergency medicine, have strong interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, ability to work well in a fast paced environment, and have a true interest in joining with the VCA West LA team's passion for serving our community.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $64,000 to $240,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
