What We Are Looking For

The Electromechanical Technician provides competent and effective electrical support to Plant operations. They must effectively identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems in electrical and controls wiring that occur in production equipment and systems. The Technician also performs preventive maintenance and upgrades to wiring, conduit, and electronic control systems. Lastly, this role provides training, mentoring, and coaching to the lower-level maintenance technicians to develop their abilities and skills in maintenance activities. 80% focus on electrical, 20% focus on mechanical.

The hours for this role are 11pm-7am Sunday night through Friday morning.

What You Will Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration
• After installing the electrical equipment, test all connections to ensure all components are working properly and safely
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in industrial equipment and processes using knowledge and proper instruments appropriate to the voltages and currents encountered, such as bearings, reducers, pneumatics, etc.
• Examine jobs to be done and determine scope and best way to accomplish the work
• Tool & die adjustments and cleanings
• Obtain one-lines, drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures from files or other sources
• Make any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., necessary to clarify the intent of the work order
• Communicate with management, engineers, mechanics, and equipment operators to advise them if there are any potential electrical hazards
• Support talent development process by assessing the knowledge, abilities. and skills of the lower-level maintenance technicians and aiding in the design of a training process

What You Will Bring

• HS diploma or equivalent
• 8+ years relevant experience
• 3+ years of motion control experience (i.e. robotics, servos, encoders, vfd's etc.)
• 1+ years of hydraulic trouble shooting experience
• Must be proficient in control logic schematics
• Must be able to work with voltages up to 600V, three-phase & single-phase A/C circuits, and motor control centers
