Sibley Memorial Hospital has an immediate opportunity for an Electrician. We offer stable, year round work at a single location, competivive pay and an outstanding benefits package!

Responsibilities

• Maintains, installs, and repairs wiring and lighting systems in and around the hospital and associated buildings, including but not limited to power appliances, motors, electrical equipment, and motor control centers.
• Electrically safety checks all electrical equipment brought into the hospital and maintains records of same.
• Maintains the preventative maintenance program for all electrical equipment.
• Performs related mechanical work as necessary.

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate
• Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician or higher by the District of Columbia OR the ability to obtain a DC Journeyman License by successfully passing the DC Exam within one year of starting employment to maintain position.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the electrical field. Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Hours

• 6AM to 4:30PM, four days per week including one day on the weekend
