The planter integration engineer is a member of the Vehicle Design team and serves as the key electronics interface between Product Development and Vehicle Electronics during engineering work.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Supervises planter wire harness design.
- Collaborates with VE to select major electrical components and the I/O's from those components
- Coordinates all routing of harnesses, including the means to secure the harnesses to the chassis.
- Gains proficiency with the end-of-line tool used by manufacturing and maintains an end-of-line tool onsite.
- Pairs with product validation (PV) setting up planters with the CANalyzer tools.
- Collaborates with multiple functions in the lab and in the field to develop solutions to electronics issues.
- Works with systems engineers to create work orders and assist with testing requirements.
- Serves as equipment expert with manufacturing and product validation on planter electronics.
- This position pays $93,500 to $126,500.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar
- 3 years of engineering experience
- Experience with VeSys Capital CAD tools
- Proficient with standard tools provided by the Vector Tool Chain (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANdella, P-CAN)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in electrical/harness design, electro-hydraulic controls systems or architectures
- Hands-on experience with construction, agricultural, or other related off-highway equipment
- Knowledge of ISO13849 and ISO25119 standards
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed
- Ability to work with minimal direction managing multiple projects and tasks
