Job Objective: Operates various trucks to deliver petroleum, lubricant, and related products, both bulk and various package styles to Company-owned and customer sites. Is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of his or her vehicle, within Company policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is a full-time position with a local route and specific schedule. In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads tanker with petroleum and lubricant products, both bulk and various package styles adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
  • Operates tanker, box van according to Company policies and state/federal laws. Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness.
  • Performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
  • Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions/concerns to Fleet Manager or Driver Manager.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use loading arms and card readers at rack facilities, use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading of vehicle and use spill kits and fire extinguisher.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Current CDL Class A w/Tank & HazMat endorsements REQUIRED, TWIC and TSA
  • Petroleum Tanker experience is not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year's verifiable CDL experience
  • Must have valid DOT Medical Card and verifiable clean driving record. Both of these must be kept current.
  • Must be able to drive in safe and reliable manner under any conditions.
  • Basic mechanical skills will be needed and used in the logistics of loading/unloading and maintenance.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and delivery orders.
  • This person must be able to read, analyze and interpret business, safety, and professional documents, as well as government regulations.
  • Will be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as understand and calculate volume, weight and percentages. Other basic math skills may be required.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Must be willing to work any shift available including nights, weekends, holidays.

  • Walking: move about inside the office and/or branch facilities as well as airport/travel needs
  • Sit/Stand: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time
  • Capable of traveling as required

Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory, including arriving at the time as scheduled. This position is open for either a day shift (4 am - 4 pm) or a night shift (4 pm - 4 am). Both consist of a 10-12 hour shift with 5 days on and 2 days off.
