ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
  • Receive Bills of Lading, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR), Driver Logs and other transportation documents.
  • Interact with, assist and dispatch Drivers
  • Shop and Management personnel.
  • Enter bills for Line Haul division in AK.
  • Post POD's (Proof of Delivery) to the system
  • Generate manifests for outbound trailers
  • Status on moves of driver and equipment in dispatch system
  • Permit preparation and submittal to AK State D.O.T.
  • Enter data, sort it and then generate new manifests for consolidations
  • Research given quotes to corresponding bill of ladings
  • Verify accuracy of documents and make changes or corrections as necessary
  • Review Contract Pilot Car invoices and prep for approval
  • Takes freight pickup calls from customers and Respond to incoming phone calls
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience industrial, dispatch and/or equipment related work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Intermediate level of use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Truck Mate)
  • Sound understanding of DOT regulations, HazMat and OTR experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and exhibit team players attitude
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Basic use of mathematical applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional customer service both internally and externally
WORKING ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other office related devices. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
