Responsible for leading the development of Senior Health Services (SHS) marketing strategies, ensuring both segment and consumer-centric objectives, including new membership enrollment and retention are being realized. This includes, developing strategies across both areas to drive growth, increase I2I and G2I member retention, and reduce administrative costs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the Retail Marketing functions for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's SHS division.
  • Oversee the SHS marketing teams, which includes Agent Communications, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SHS Marketing, SHS individual marketing analytics, SHS Prospect Seminars, and promote sales of ancillary products for BCBSM and LifeSecure.
  • Manage a team of internal and external partners in the development of a segmentation strategy based on regression modeling which provides actionable data insights, improving member retention.
  • Manage marketing research work streams and data insights to inform marketing strategy and to create programs and initiatives aimed at improving member experience.
  • Provide a strategic point of view (segment and consumer perspective) on channels, functional, and technical approach for marketing strategies throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Serve as a liaison for SHS to other business units, including Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communications, Enterprise Ancillary Business, LifeSecure and Customer Service.

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required, Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in related field including experience in a managerial role required.

  • Ability to frame and structure problems, discern critical issues, and drive solutions.
  • Ability to effectively integrate multiple process and systems to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate with other areas to facilitate positive developments and outcomes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Directly supervises a varied number of employees in the designated department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
