The University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas (UMIA) seeks a Director of Research Support , working with the UMIA Director, to manage and drive the Institute's global health portfolio with a focus on issues related to Non-communicable Diseases, Health Systems and Universal Health Coverage, Social Justice, Health Policy, Poverty Reduction, Equity, Marginalized and Vulnerable Groups, Women and Gender, Migration, Civil Society and Non-governmental Actors, etc.
The position includes institutional development, strategy development; grants management; conducting and managing research; managing extensive bibliographic, primary, and secondary data; IRB support; managing, producing and co-authoring research publications for academic journals and for dissemination; and supporting UMIA in implementing research support platforms across the University
The position reports directly to UMIA Director with a close working relationship to the Senior Manager of Business Operations and will be supported by a Research Associate, with the potential for a research faculty appointment.
