Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for creation and implementation of traditional, electronic, and digital marketing strategies and plans to drive opportunities for the organization. This includes overseeing and coordinating consistent brand messaging, advertising, article placement, online web, and social media presence, collaboration with agencies, as well as tradeshows coordination and execution.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and leading the Marketing Team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports, identifies training needs, initiates professional development opportunities, and recommends effective action plans.
Job Duties:
  • Designs, implements, and facilitates organizational, domestic, and international marketing strategies and implements Brand Standards; creates an annual marketing planning calendar to drive implementation; continuously evaluates the marketing strategies' effectiveness and adjusts the plan as necessary. Continuously evaluates competitor marketing strategies, campaigns, ad placements and branding to drive continuous improvement of Fecon marketing initiatives to ensure FECON market competitiveness as well as growth of domestic and international market share.
  • Develops and manages the marketing budget; approves all expenses and invoices; ensures effective cost control and return on investment. Implements corrective action, when necessary, to meet objectives.
  • Tracks and monitors marketing efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing program and tradeshow success, such as return on investment, conversion rates, website statistics, cost per lead as well as number of leads, etc.
  • Participates in new product gate meetings; assists in determining marketing demographic and avenues as well as designing product look, logos, and marketing materials; acts as expert to assist team in generating marketing ideas.
  • Drives the company's digital marketing strategies including developing and optimizing the company websites, ad sense and social media outreach; develops ad sense, social media and online advertising strategies; monitors performance, through Google analytics and alerts, and makes adjustments to meet changing marketing conditions.
  • Makes recommendations for and oversees the coordination and execution of industry tradeshows and all Fecon events, including national sales meeting, and service schools
  • Ensures CRM database is up-to-date and accurately maintained and coordinates campaigns to utilize demographic information within the CRM.
  • Evaluates the monthly competitive analysis /market share report and all opportunistic international data to drive increased market share and penetration; works with territory managers to analyze data and develop an action plan as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field is required, MBA a plus.
  • Must have 8+ years extensive experience in marketing, advertising, managing external agencies, and campaign management. Digital marketing and marketing experience related to equipment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to talk and hear to enable effective communication.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing, walking, or stooping.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time supporting trade shows and occasional dealer and customer visits.
