How you can make a bigger difference:

The Jewish Board is seeking a Director of Learning, Clinical Lead for our Learning Department. The Director will oversee the design, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of training programs that facilitate professional development and promote excellence in behavioral health and social service practice. The Director will identify new training initiatives to meet the organization's needs, and will enhance the use of remote learning strategies, while supervising and overseeing the work of Learning Specialists and Coordinators. The Director will work across all levels of the organization to craft and execute a strategy to drive employee performance in support of the strategic plan.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting training priorities and goals, monitor progress towards goals, and create/implement action plans; Manage course selection, curriculum creation, scheduling, enrollment, and evaluations
  • Oversight of the training team, including: supervision, evaluation, training, and team building
  • Design, implement, disseminate, evaluate, and promote evidence-based training packages; Design/deliver trainings in areas of relevance to agency practice and community practice; Ensure practice implementation and sustainability of training through supervisor development and post-training consultation
  • In collaboration with the Senior Director, responsible for recruitment, selection, and hiring of training staff
  • Contribute to grant writing
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented individuals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Organizational Development, or related field is required; Doctorate degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required; 2 years in the supervision of behavioral health professionals
  • A License to practice is preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence as a manager, and as a trainer/creator or educational packages
  • Clinical experience in best practices with an emphasis on trauma informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and integrated health/behavioral healthcare
  • Strong skills in writing and outcomes-based evaluation; Knowledge and skills in the area of cultural competency training is required
  • Organized with an ability to work independently to complete projects
  • Skilled decision-maker and project manager that works proactively in an outcome-focused environment
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
