Description:
The Judge Group is currently seeking a Dimensional Engineer for a large commercial / industrial component manufacturing firm in the West Covina, CA area. The right candidate will have 2+ years
COMPENSATION: 120k to 135k
PREFER TO HAVE: BS in Mechanical Engineer
MUST HAVE: Experience working in Aerospace or IGT applications
MUST HAVE: AS9002 or similar system experience
MUST HAVE: Process control procedure experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing dimensional processes to manufacture investment castings
- Support new product development
- Improve existing products
- Utilize knowledge of investment casting, injection molding, metrology, statistics, and machining techniques
- Perform root cause analysis
- Implement solutions
- Improve yield and quality
- Use standardized approach approaches including PDCA, Six-Sigma, etc
- Apply knowledge of statistics
- Control dimensional quality to ensure they meet the blue prints
- Create dies, gages, and tooling (Cores, Wax patterns, Castings)
- Communicate with tooling vendors
- Interpret customer drawings
- Use statistical tools to understand measurement systems
- Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Mechanical Engineer
- 4+ years relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in using Solidworks or related CAD package
