Elsevier Clinical Solutions is seeking a Marketing Manager, B2C Digital Marketing responsible for the execution of the organization's digital marketing strategy in an effort to drive acquisition and retention across channels. The position plays a critical role in marketing strategy and program development and represents a unique opportunity to have a major impact on Elsevier customers and the future of the company. The marketing manager must be part strategist, part hands-on tactician and capable of envisioning forward-thinking strategies and plans that help drive improved business performance.

The Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Digital Marketing and Analytics, Health and work closely with other functional leaders across the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop effective marketing strategies and tactical implementations, including key themes, value proposition, compelling competitive advantages, success metrics and digital product recommendations, in alignment with the marketing team.
  • Develop action plan for integration of corporate and digital marketing plans in alignment with offline marketing plans.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, company SMEs, and the field to define and review deliverables, meet expectations and address any concerns.
  • Establish market positioning for any customer-facing touch points through cross-channel activities, such as eCommerce, Social, Search, Media Planning and Digital Marketing
  • Production and management of digital assets, including working with designers, vendors, managing approvals from legal, compliance, and other stakeholders, and efficiently maintaining records for compliance.
  • Identify and correlate emerging trends within the digital landscape and inform company of the benefits. Understand and analyze various click-stream and conversion funnel data, drawing conclusions that help increase the performance of the digital marketing campaign tactics.
  • Budget management and management of agency relationships, contracts, SOWs, etc.


Candidates will have the following qualifications, attributes and experience:

  • 3-5 years of increasing levels of responsibility and leadership in the digital marketing function
  • Experience with translating a marketing strategy into effective programs to drive lead generation, customer acquisition with ability to conceptualize and articulate strategy and get buy-in from cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated functional competency with web technologies, including HTML/CSS, , WordPress, , SEO, SEM, digital, mobile, social and partnership marketing.
  • Previous experience working with project management, social media management, CMS, marketing automation and other digital marketing tools. For example:, Google Analytics, AdWords, , Adobe Campaign
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Solid balance of operational and creative skill sets; right side/left side of brain thinker, combining creative and business skills
  • Excellent attention to detail while simultaneously capable of seeing the whole picture
  • Bachelor's degree,
