Job Description

Performs daily account related functions. This includes deposits, account maintenance and completing other member requests and correspondence. Supports the branch and members by answering the must answer line of the department. Adds value to the organization and assists members by performing assigned duties in an accurate manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports branch staff and members on account related questions and validation or inputting wires.
  • Balances, proofs, posts mailed in deposits.
  • Processes account maintenance including address changes, opt-out forms and other account relayed requests.
  • Validates member information and processes Verifications of Deposit.
  • Performs miscellaneous operations research on accounts.
  • Answers and completes levies in timely, accurate manner and in compliance with requests.
  • Sorts, logs and distributes all incoming and department mail. Processes return mail and/or Fulfillments.
  • Monitors general ledger accounts including research and reconcilement.
  • Completed monthly and daily reports for department and individual job duties assigned. This includes monthly totals for department. Maintain or improve efficiency.
  • Handles mail requests for new accounts, conversion of member accounts to trust accounts, name changes and other account maintenance Basic knowledge of IRAs.
  • Performs activities related to correct processing of accounts of deceased members.
  • Performs certificate of deposit duties to include opening new accounts, changing terms or withdrawals.
  • Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities. Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner. Maintains member, team members and other sensitive information with confidentiality. Treats co-workers and members with respect.
  • Supports member relations and events that promotes member centric experiences.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Two years' experience as a Deposit Processing Representative I or equivalent related financial institution operations experience.
  • Internal or external customer/ service experience.
  • Good understanding of IRAs and Trusts (including support, transactions and rules and regulations)
  • Competent with Wires (input and validation process)
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED
