ECS is seeking a Database Architect (Oracle) to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

• Responsible for advanced troubleshooting and repair of database defects and the design, development and implementation of database modifications in response to system change requests.
• Performs updates to the Oracle 11G database including data field changes and validation, creation of budget control tables, and annual roll-up of the working budget table.
• Will require occasional work outside of normal business hours (M-F 0700-1800 Eastern Time).

Required Skills:

• U.S. Citizenship
• High School
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in maintaining an enterprise-level Oracle database in the Defense Department
• Must have intimate knowledge of Oracle data structure and stored procedures
• Be able to flawlessly handle complex tasks under a unique coding process
• Must demonstrate ability to foresee and mitigate potential risks as database updates are made
• IAT Level 2 Certified

Desired Skills:

• Prior knowledge of and experience with a DoD financial database highly preferred
• Prior knowledge of and experience with Department Of Navy Industrial Budget Information System (DONIBIS) highly preferred
• Experience with the USN Program Budget Information System (PBIS) preferred
