Job Description

This is a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

Job Summary:

Are you a data science geek with a passion for learning and solving complex business challenges? Our Data Analytics team supports operational improvement and business decision-making through ad-hoc statistical analysis of curated enterprise data and self-constructed data sets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • You will work on describing enterprise or vehicle performance using statistical methods and craft ad-hoc reports to share findings and recommendations with business partners.
  • You thrive in reciprocal environments with leaders and managers to resolve and address ad-hoc data and reporting needs.
  • You perform testing and validation of data sets.
  • You enjoy the challenge of determining the meaning of data and explaining how various teams and leaders can leverage it to improve and streamline their processes
  • You enjoy keeping defined structures in documentation and data and have a large toolset in statistical methodologies to tackle business problems.
  • Support diverse data sourcing activities through integration with Corporate Galileo Data Analytics Platform (GDAP)
  • Ensure data required for Analytics is available and of good quality by analyzing data sources, comparing against standards, eliminating redundancies, identifying data issues and recommending corrective actions
  • Work closely with the business teams and IT to ensure alignment of data definition
  • Define and maintain business terms, definitions, and quality standards
  • Build roadmap for establishing/expanding reusable enterprise data assets
  • Complete User Acceptance Testing for productionized data assets
  • Promote master data principals and data quality standards
  • Coordinate with data governance to ensure solutions comply with all pertinent policies to ensure data is appropriately accessible, consistent, secure and of high quality

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in a system analysis field including: Information Technology, Engineering, Management Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

- You have at least 3 years of experience in many of the following:
  • -Data Integration: SQL; NoSQL(Hadoop, Casandra); PySpark
  • -Business Intelligence/Reporting Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Excel, JMP, SAS, SPSS, Cognos
  • -Databases: Access, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
  • -Using your extensive experience, data, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • -Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques
  • -Communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
  • -Excellent collaboration and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TFS, Maxis and Galileo Data Analytics Platform (GDAP)
  • Experience in comparing/validating source data to target data
  • Research or experience in data analysis where problems are poorly defined, complex and cross functional and possess uncertainties and multiple objectives
  • Excellent team player and communicator with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with project teams, management, customers and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to contribute on multiple levels, including: data management, business data architecture, project management, and documentation

Compensation: The median level of salary compensation for this role is $88,667.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
