Summary

An experienced data engineer will help our growing data needs in general. This role will actively support preparation and migration of data for our new customers and address data needs of existing customers. The successful candidate will have 7 years of experience relevant to responsibilities listed below. Strong data ETL, Migration and Enterprise Data Integration skills to serve the business objectives is required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and automate data migration process.
  • Prepare and migrate Customer Data to new evolving APEX application ecosystem.
  • Develop test and implement ETL tooling to Automate and troubleshoot data handling tasks and support migration
  • Provide technical engineering support in provisioning new customers and administering existing customers
  • Build conceptual and logical data models, assess data schemas, metadata, and schema migrations
  • Provide data architecture suggestions and support data and related infrastructure needs for successful Data Integration as the product scales
  • Define and build data integration processes
  • Provide data validation, monitoring and alerting support
  • Work with engineering to resolve technical challenges of DB inserts or batch jobs or related tasks
  • Interpret data presented in models, charts, and tables and transform it into a format that is useful to the business and aids effective decision making
  • Provide and support Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing Architecture solutions
  • Analyze and validate data accuracy of report results
  • Create tools to capture, synchronize and populate metadata for BI needs
  • Use of statistical practices to analyze current and historical data to make predictions, identify risks, and opportunities enabling better decisions on planned/future events
  • Communicate and own the process in manipulating and merging large datasets
  • Configure SQL or other DB servers and create custom scripts or DB Applications
  • Design and implement metadata delivery process and Document metadata strategy.
  • Work directly with development or the product management to perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot and help fix data related issues

Skills and Experience

  • Education in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning and/or proven relevant experience
  • Strong software engineering skills with data perspective and experience using Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in use of scripting languages in cloud and on-prem setups.
  • Data warehousing experience
  • BI experience
  • Experience with streaming data
  • API experience (postman, python requests)
  • Experience in handling financial and sales data
  • Data science/machine learning experience is a plus
