Facebook is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineering Specialist to support the Global SiteOps Community in delivering operational excellence at hyperscale in the areas of data center operations. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates, and our innovative services are delivered. This role will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to drive continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of our operations through the use of Lean Six Sigma structured problem-solving methodologies. The successful candidate will partner closely with field and engineering teams to deliver the conception, scoping, development, deployment, and validation of operations improvement projects. In addition, expectations include teaching of Lean Six Sigma mindset and tools across the global Site Operations community.

<ul><li>Responsible for collaborating with team members across the globe to drive continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving, data analytics and applied statistical techniques</li><li>Act as a key Subject Matter Expert on Lean tools and techniques - teaching, coaching and mentoring other team members in Lean Six Sigma methods and tools</li><li>Drive organizational cultural change toward proactive data-driven operational excellence at hyperscale</li><li>Quickly help teams clearly understand their problems, as well as develop and execute both short and long-term solutions</li><li>Ability to mentor, coach and develop others on how to solve problems using data analytics</li><li>Assist in metrics development, validation, and continued evolution</li><li>Create new training modules and/or classes to continue to support Site Operations growth and evolution in delivering operational excellence at hyperscale</li><li>Champion Site Operations organizational learning techniques and tools to ensure we are adapting quickly to community and partner needs</li><li>Accountable for driving operational benchmarking to ensure we are looking ahead and considering all options and perspectives</li><li>Identify and eliminate sources of variation and inefficiency using Lean Six Sigma structured problem-solving methodology</li><li>Lead and perform analyses such as process and/or value stream mapping, root-cause, risk, Effort versus Impact, prioritization, ROI, and requirements data gathering</li><li>Facilitate change and lead deployment, adoption and sustainment of Lean approaches</li><li>Works independently and manages projects</li><li>Ability to travel 20-30% required</li></ul>

<ul><li>Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.</li><li>Black Belt Certification</li><li>Demonstrated, hands-on experience with deployment and adoption of Lean management methods</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of Six Sigma quality tools/methods and proficiency with statistical analysis packages (e.g., Minitab and/or JMP)</li><li>Understanding of the value and application of Lean Six Sigma</li><li>Demonstrated teaching and coaching skills with experience influencing without formal authority</li><li>Communication, presentation, conflict resolution and facilitation skills</li><li>Experience performing complex tasks, prioritizing multiple projects, organize and follow through consistently and work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Experience formulating the right KPIs and drive improvements through appropriate analysis followed by impactful initiatives with measurable results</li></ul>

<ul><li>10+ years of operations experience in a mature operations environment</li><li>BS in engineering or MS in Engineering Management or MBA</li><li>Master Black Belt Certification</li><li>Experience with data center environments</li></ul>
