Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Data Analyst, Program Analytics will be responsible for implementing hospital data and digital products, and analyzing incoming customer data sets to provide customers with strategic and actionable insights to support their da Vinci surgical program adoption and optimization.

This individual will report into the Digital Program Analytic Solutions organization and collaborate with key commercial stakeholders to enable customers with consultative services for data driven decisions across their clinical, financial and operational verticals. This role focuses on effectively translating evolving business and customer requirements to creative data visualizations, sustaining business operations, scaling data and digital product utilization, and promoting customer engagement success.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the commercial, product management, security and engineering teams to manage data intake
  • Aggregate, cleanse and validate multiple customer clinical and claims datasets
  • Analyze data and present strategic insights to cross functional business partners
  • Develop, implement and maintain data visualization products utilizing analytic tools like Tableau
  • Serve as the first-line problem solver to creatively address any roadblocks or barriers to processing customer data
  • Partner with core data engineering teams to consistently evolve data models based on growing business and engineering needs
  • Debug databases and dashboards to identify errors and/or inconsistencies, and work with data engineering teams to resolve
  • Design, develop and maintain custom analyses to consolidate multiple data sources in collaboration with cross-functional internal teams
  • Develop business recommendations to streamline customer engagements
  • Author and maintain reference materials owned by the department

Qualifications

Skills/ Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, computer science, statistics or business discipline required. MS, MBA, MPH preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in development and operations of analytics products or healthcare IT applications
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL. Python and R is a plus
  • Experience with analytic reporting tools, preferably Tableau
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data including medical claims, clinical data, healthcare industry standard datasets like ICD, CPT, NPPES
  • Healthcare data management and systems experience such as Epic, Cerner, McKesson, etc. preferred
  • Experience with HIPAA, and knowledge of PHI, PII best practices
  • Highly curious and solution-oriented mindset with ability to condense complex analyses into clear and concise takeaways that drive action
  • Proactively seeks and executes creative solutions to solve project challenges
  • Strong relationship building, customer focus and facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal), with the ability to influence across cross-functional audiences
