Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. This position will be full-time and hybrid.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design
  • Develop analysis and reporting capabilities
  • Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements
  • Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

What You'll Need

Required:
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages such as Business Objects and SQL
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets with SAS
  • Experience working in a State Government office with Health data or Health Federal
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Technical expertise with data models, database design development and data mining techniques
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Ability to filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Ability to acquire data from primary and secondary data sources
  • Ability to work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Ability to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Ability to use verbal communication to explain complex ideas and present information in a way that common viewers can understand
  • Ability to determine solutions for technical problems or evaluate new processes based on data analysis

Preferred:
  • Reporting data experience is strongly desired

Physical Demands
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
