BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Credit Analyst for an opportunity in Brookfield, WI

Position Title: Credit Analyst - IntermediateEst. Start Date: October 25, 2021Length of Contract: 6 monthsPhysical Working Location : Brookfield, WI (180 N. Exec)First month on-site to learn processes and training; then rotate 3x out of the week, 2x in the officeRole Mandate:Seeking an experienced and motivated candidate who will ensure accurate reporting of consumer information to credit bureaus, and accurate interpretation of credit bureau data for use in credit decisions. This individual will be responsible for processing, resolving and responding to customer disputes related to credit bureau reporting, responding to other customer information requests, and for entering information into the Credit Bureau Dispute database(s). They will be dealing with CBR Disputes from customers and all 4 credit bureau agencies. They will be toggling between Excel Spreadsheets, CBR Database, CBR websites and our internal systems. The individual will be trained on system of record and credit card system, as well as the Salesforce portal where disputes are added. They will also be trained on credit reporting sites. Daily Responsibilities:* Taking phone calls from customers and encouraging them to set up credit dispute forms via email or fax* Collecting all customer information to find resolutions to conduct the best investigation* Ensuring the customer is aware of the 30-day period to respond to the dispute form* Taking information over the phone and documenting it correctly and answering emails* Pulling trade line reports and checking updates to ensure information is reported correctly* Answer / Resolve Credit Bureau Reporting disputes within set parameters* Providing immediate attention to resolve disputes* Handling calls pertaining to loan disputes, updating accounts, providing goodwill gestures regarding refinancing, etc.* Reviewing credit attributes to ensure accurate coding of credit bureau information for use in credit decisions* Responding to general customer information inquiries with proper phone etiquette* Entering data into dispute tracking database* Maintaining appropriate position documentation* Communicating with the bankruptcy and recovery departments Must-Have Skills:* Previous customer service roles speaking on the phone (phone etiquette is very important)* Proficient in Excel* 1+ year(s) credit bureau background* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)* Attention to detail and problem solving* Self-motivators with ability to make own decisions Nice-to-Have Skills:* Previous credit dispute background is an asset* Experience taking customer queries over the phone* Thick skin - ability to resolve disputes and satisfy the customers' needs* Previous experience with data entry* Experience reviewing Credit Bureau reports from the big 4 Bureaus (be familiar with pulling credit reports)* Collection's background (Understands Bankruptcy/Foreclosure accounts and how these situations affect customers)* Researchers* Ability to handle high-pressure environments and high volumes* Ability to work independently Education:* High School or higher Interview Process:* Round 1 - 30 minutes
