Position Summary

The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2023-2024 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in Counseling Psychology. Courses may vary. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrar's Office schedule of classes at https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html. This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the 2023-2024 academic year.

Essential Functions

  • Teach in person once or twice a week (depending on course)
  • Create and maintain course Canvas container
  • Meet with students as needed
  • Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate
  • Grade in a timely manner
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed
  • If the course includes multiple sections, collaborate with instructors of other sections
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD
  • Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs
Work Schedule

While the University's administrative offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. Course Rate

The course rate for this position is $1,193 per credit hour taught.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, available market information, and course enrollment, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
