RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Controller-Family Office in New York City, New York (NY). Summary: This role will report to the CFO and will be responsible for a wide array of accounting and reporting functions. Responsibilities include:- The Controller will help manage all accounting functions and reporting, including preparation of financial statements
- Lead the bookkeeping and accounts payable team
- Work closely with and mentor, bookkeeper to manage the accounting function of entities and trusts
- Manage custom reporting for a wide range of family members and trusts
- Oversee accounts payable processes and pay cycles
- The Controller will assist with review and approval of investments and capital calls
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred \
- CPA preferred
- 5-10+ years of recent accounting experience with a leading CPA firm or a family office
- Outstanding organization and interpersonal skills are essential
- Attention to detail and high degree of professionalism
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
- Hands on attitude
- Team player attitude and ability to work well with others
- Well-organized, detail oriented and willing to learn
- Able to work from New York City office on hybrid basis
- Strong accounting skills/GAAP background is highly preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
