Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nucor Steel Louisiana LLC is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Controller. This Department Manager level position reports directly to the General Manager. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship, and proven focus on profitability.

• Leadership role in managing all of the facility's accounting, financial reporting, shipping activities, as well as being a key contributor in developing and executing the strategic direction of the division and product group.

• Leadership role in managing the human resources, information systems, and purchasing-related activities and personnel.

• Leadership role for protecting Nucor's assets through risk-management activities and maintaining an appropriate internal control structure, and various contract negotiations.

• Provide general financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and formulate appropriate strategies.

• Be a key business partner to the commercial, operations, and maintenance teams in order to facilitate continuous improvement across the facility.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote and grow the Nucor business.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting

• A minimum of 5 years work experience in financial-related positions

• Prior leadership and supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or MBA

• Proficiency in human resources, information systems, and purchasing

• Knowledge of Employment Law

• Willing to relocate to other Nucor locations for appropriate advancement opportunities if available.
