The Contract Manufacturing Manager position reports to the Sales Director of Contract Manufacturing and is responsible for all aspects of the appointed Contract Manufacturing Customers. This role is key in negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts between Saputo and outside customers. The Contract Manufacturing Manager will also be responsible for all aspects of representing their customers and the sales department to internal stakeholders, ensuring contract obligations are satisfied across the supply chain. This role supports strategic growth and pipeline planning which will involve business development of new customers, and project management of commercial activities.

How you will make contributions that matter...

• Lead evaluation of prospective customers seeking contract manufacturing solutions and coordinate all related commercialization/project planning activities to initiate manufacturing.
• Identify macro industry trends and potential new customers or market opportunities, including potential capital investments.
• Manage and direct the business relationships for assigned customers, navigate issues, and negotiate solutions.
• Coordinate between internal cross functional groups (Category Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Legal) to ensure customer contract commitments are being fulfilled.
• Support annual business planning (and budget) by setting customer specific volume targets and ensuring necessary objectives are in place to deliver.
• Performance data analysis (order fulfillment, budget variances, consumer complaints, production attainment) to identify business performance variances and mitigation tactics.
• Negotiate NDAs, development agreements, contracts, amendments, and renewals, aligning with business strategies.

You are best suited for the role if you...

• 7-10 years of experience in the management of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) contract manufacturing, experience with aseptic single serve packaging a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Service, Packaging, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of food and beverage manufacturing / processing equipment and technology (pasteurization, blending mixing, fillers, labelers, palletizers, etc.) - preferred.
• Experience in negotiating various legal agreements (Supply Agreements, Contract Manufacturing Agreements, Term Sheets, etc.), including pricing and operating terms.
• Experience with commercializing new products - from technical validation through first production.
• Ability to analyze data.
• Candidate must be based in the US.
• Up to 30% domestic travel, potential for limited international travel.
• Position is 100% remote; however, must be able to travel to corporate offices in Milwaukee and Dallas as needed.
