    About the Team:

    LexisNexis Regulatory Compliance is an award-winning legal obligations register and alerting solution that combines regulatory content with technology to empower our customers to take control of compliance obligations. We use leading legal and industry experts from around the world to provide a practical, plain English interpretation of all the relevant legislative and regulatory materials.

    About the Role:

    The primary purpose of the role is to deliver a market-leading content set that supports market offerings and drives revenue growth, retention rates and customer satisfaction.

    Accountabilities:
    • Managing team of Global Content Planners
    • Developing and managing the Content Roadmaps across Segments and Geographies
    • Building specific Content requirements, working with/ across the full suite of Content capabilities: licensed content, company information, web content, content enrichment
    • Commercial lead of collection of licensed content partnerships and negotiations as it impacts the Global BIS P&L
    • Deliver licensing contracts and manage relationships in a specific market or geographical territory
    • Delivering through a combination of internal and external partners, licensors, agents and resources
    • Communicating content information and developments
    • Engage content team and support organizational development
    • Translate strategic objectives and concepts into a content vision for segments, translating the customer needs and business opportunities into real, executable, content requirements
    • Translate and own inputs from the virtual segment teams as well as with direct feedback from the sales reps and other stakeholders to a compelling roadmap and defined scope
    • Provide all necessary sizing, projections or risk assessments to support business development activities
    • Ensure that product, business systems, and other capability roadmaps are aligned with the segment-driven content roadmap, and that all dependencies are addressed during execution
    • Supervise roadmap execution and scope delivery, in relationship with internal or external technical teams, project managers, operational and support functions
    • Ensure scope, deadlines and budget are met, and manage change control
    • Seek convergence and synergy, using global shared capabilities and assets, as well as leveraging our partners know-how
    • Update the virtual segment teams on project status, identify roadblocks, risks and opportunities, and decide tactical moves
    • Report to the manager on the last status of each initiative and critical issues
    • Own the release management cycle and top-down content communication
    • Proactive and reactive communication through Internal tools to maintain a consistent level of information on the content sets and capabilities
    • Direct Delivery of Content through licensing deals and partnerships
    • Contribute content to a pipeline that provides the business with full visibility and progression on content development
    • Manage publisher relationships to improve BIS cost position and profitability, minimize risk and ensure content continuity and quality
    • Manage partners, allocated resources or outsourcers to deliver scalable, flexible and cost effective solutions and capabilities to meet Global BIS needs
    • Act as the content authority by developing strong internal and external networks including customers, competitors and leaders in other organizations, to bring in relevant information to the business
    • Proactively participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, foster effective communications and cross-functional team work. Effectively collaborate with all stakeholders
    • Liaise with and educate colleagues (and distributors) through transferring subject matter expertise
    • Manage, motivate and lead the BIS Global Content Planning team (people located globally) to maximize effectiveness
    • Recruit, develop and retain the team
    • Coach for continuous high performance and career development; engage in team or individual projects as appropriate
    • Ensure that all members of the team are given the necessary resources and training in order to do their job competently and effectively and to develop for future positions
    • Identify areas for improvement within the team and work with the individuals to develop their skills, by way of coaching, training and mentoring
    • Ensure that all new joiners receive an effective and comprehensive induction plan
    • Pro-actively deal with and resolve staff issues as required
    • Liaise with and educate colleagues through transferring subject matter expertise
    • Hold team accountable for success against team KPOs and goals
    • Ability to set a vision and strategy
    • Translate strategic priorities into operational reality; aligning communication, engagement, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results
    • Develop and leverage collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
    • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences
    • Create and execute influential strategies that persuade key stakeholders to take action that will advance shared interests and business goals
    • Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others thoughts and actions; engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
    • Use situational leadership skills to provide timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
    • Solid understanding of bigger picture and commercial implications and imperatives
    • Effectively manage one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently. Ability to drive multiple projects/initiatives at the same time whilst delivering to budget and on time

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Communications
    • Proven ability to lead cross regional teams in a global/matrixed organization, working across cultures and manage/ collaborate with remote teams
    • Proven success in managing budgets
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Experience in mentoring, coaching, building high performing teams and/or performance management to achieve goals and objectives in a competitive environment
