• The primary role of the Manager - Workplace Strategy is to lead and manage workplace strategy projects, conduct their own research, data gathering and analysis as well as oversee the work of the Analysts in the development of workplace solutions for clients with minimal supervision.
• The Manager will be a Strategic Consulting point of contact for the client and assist in some sales efforts working in conjunction with fee earners and strategic consulting leaders.
• Manager will interact with clients and their employees leading teams that conduct workplace strategy diagnostic efforts which include: surveys, focus groups, interviews and utilization studies.
• The Manager will develop workplace strategy recommendations and will partner with fee earners and management to present findings and recommendations to the client.

Additional Information

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in design, organizational development/psychology, or related field preferred. Masters preferred
    • 4-8 years consulting experience with focus on workplace strategy, change management, architecture and/or interior design.
    • Track record of managing multiple client projects from scope definition to delivery
    • Development of client reports and work product synthesizing qualitative outputs. Communicating, presenting and discussing analytical insights to clients and internal partners. Sharing feedback and outcomes with internal teams
    • Knowledge and effective use of problem-solving skills
    • Exposure to change management and customer experience initiatives preferred. Hi EQ with demonstrated ability to influence and communicate with a variety of stakeholders from diverse cultures as well as facilitate collaboration
    • Solid understanding of workplace technologies
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities and projects, keeping all team members informed of progress and issues
    • Strong knowledge and proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Superior writing skills that create professional presentations and reports to ensure the final product is succinct and delivers a powerful message. Participate in the development of presentation materials and for client presentations ensure presentations are clear, address client questions and goals
    • Effective communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge to effectively influence clients. Very comfortable speaking with and in front of clients.
    • Excellent time management, organizational and qualitative analytical skills
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • With senior team member or fee earner help develop Requests for Information (RFI) documents. Participate in team sales presentations
  • Manage client workplace strategy projects from scope definition to delivery. With senior team member, develop and communicate project hypotheses and conclusions. Create project schedules, activities, resource plans and final reports
  • Develop and generate new business through client networking opportunities
  • Participate as needed in the research and development of white papers and industry reports.
  • Look for and make recommendations to apply new workplace industry tools/technology to current projects
  • Coordination of workplace design, change management and technology best practices and solutions with the client's culture, business and people
  • Synthesize the output gained from floor plans, occupancy data, technology assumptions, observations, surveys, interviews and focus groups into opportunities and recommendations for client presentation materials including people, place, technology recommendations and space metrics
  • Oversee and participate in the development and presentation of materials and ensure the final product is succinct and delivers a powerful message.
  • Project manage workplace engagements from start to finish, coordinating various work streams, assigning project work and managing client expectations to ensure timely project delivery
