Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a minimum of 5-10 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step in their career or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment. The incumbent will be able to demonstrate an established career as a Construction Estimator, working in public/government sector programs on public housing and/or public buildings including vertical facilities construction, large scale rehabilitation and have experience running projects. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of building construction.

The candidate will be required to provide Construction estimating duties within the framework of Turner and Townsend policy and procedures; providing Client Support, Direction, Guidance, and overall caring for the projects and program process.

Qualifications

-Technical work experience and/or college degree in cost estimating engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.

-5-10 years experience of construction estimating on projects $20M and above

-Professional License - Not required

-Professional Association - CMAA Preferred - CCM

-Recent public/government sector projectexperience

-Comparative cost estimating against existing capital programs

-Understanding of Owner's Operations and best practices

-Understanding the monitoring of construction and capital programs

-Completing comprehensive reporting

-Coordinating all stakeholder documentation

-Computer based estimating software and excel experience

-Knowledgeof all methods of construction procurement is a must

-Experience gained within several industry sectors

-Exceptional organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player

-Strong leadership qualities

-Self-starter attitude with results oriented focus

-High level written and oral communication skills

-Experience with special reporting requirements to agencies like HUD & HPD
