Beacon Hill Staffing Group's client is a Berkley-based boutique law firm focusing on construction defect litigation. They are searching for an Associate Attorney.

• Location: Hybrid, working in office occasionally 1-2 days per week (Berkeley, CA 94704)
• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: Open-ended with the possibility of converting to a permanent position
• Hours: Full-time hours during standard business hours.
• Hourly pay: $60-$75/hour DOE

Requirements:

• Must be actively licensed and in good standing in California
• 1+ years recent construction defect litigation experience
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• capable of strong legal brief writing and regular reporting to clients
• self-starter
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a small team environment

About the position:

The Associate Attorney will work on a variety of legal matters, including:

• research and writing,
• document review,
• preparing and responding to discovery,
• expert preparation and meetings,
• depositions,
• mediations
• preparation for trial and arbitration hearings
• Contacting clients by phone, e-mail and in written communications and reports.
