JOB SUMMARY:
Workingunder the general supervision of the Vice President of Operations, theConservation Supervisor leads conservation initiatives for the Texas WaterCompany (TWC) both internally and externally, building coalitions with externalstakeholders and TWC teammates. Key activities include leading TWC in meetingregulatory obligations, drought planning and sustainability initiatives throughdata analysis, operational knowledge, special programs and industryexpertise.  This role also providescommunication and planning support, interacts directly with customers. The Conservation Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing,supervising, reviewing, and evaluating Conservation staff.[CB1] 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, assigns, supervises, trains, reviews and evaluates the work of employees engaged in conservation activities.  [CB2] 
Determines goals, objectives, and resource requirements for conservation and drought activities, [CH3] including recommendations to improve efficiency rankings at the state and national level 
Oversee conservation and drought response programs, including the management of enforcement measures. 
Complete annual reports to the Texas Water Development Board and wholesale suppliers  
Manage the implementation and enforcement of Water Conservation Plans and Drought Contingency Plans 
Stay current with rules and regulations impacting supply management 
Perform water loss audits and overall water loss assessments 
Represent TWC to external stakeholders as the Conservation lead for the Company.
Lead in developing community outreach and engagement events focused on conservation, efficiency, and drought management. 
Provide support for environmental sustainability initiatives at all levels of the company, including co-leading the environmental stewardship steering committee. 
Assist with technical writing of reports and presentations for all areas of the Company.   
Assist with development of communication items for customers and respond to customer questions.
Support Records Management - Information Governance 
Work on special projects as assigned.

REQUIREDKNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Very strong attention to detail & analytical skills 
Strong reading comprehension, written and verbal communication skills. 
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.  
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat 
Knowledge or experience with OnBase and iCIS preferred. 
GIS, VBA, and general experience with presentation of spatial data or statistics.
Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.[CB4] 


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a Bachelor degree with major course work in environmental science, public administration, or a closely related field.
Five years of recent progressively responsible administrative, managerial, or professional experience in the water industry, public utility, or related experience, including six years management and supervision of professional and technical staff in a field related to the assignment;
Possession of a water or wastewater operator's license or other applicable technical competency are desirable.

ENVIRONMENTALCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Works approximately 100% of time ina controlled-temperature office requiring the ability to:
Sit for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen
Use finger dexterity and hand strength to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation
Use a telephone and operate a computer and other office equipment on a daily basis
Speak and hear in person and on the phone
See sufficiently to perform assignments
Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies
Frequently lift or carry boxes of files, equipment or records weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.  Occasional regional travel to operations sites and/or potential acquisition sites.
