The Compliance Manager is responsible for working directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure audits are properly executed with satisfactory results. This role provides opportunities to develop in-depth knowledge in all end-to-end business processes and systems.

This position is part of the Global Compliance Team and will be located in Santa Clara, California, hybrid. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage annual SOX compliance effort, including (1) developing and delivering annual SOX training; (2) updating process narratives; (3) providing controls testing support; (4) reviewing testing work papers; and (5) developing and implementing remediation plans
• Support external audits, including, but not limited to, documentation management, status reporting, and issue remediation
• Support operational audits, including, but not limited to, risk assessment, audit work program development, fieldwork, reporting, and remediation
• Guide the business to ensure proper controls are considered and incorporated
• Identify and communicate potential risks and improvement opportunities to leadership

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting and Finance with 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or internal audit
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity to adhere to regulations
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Specific hands-on experience with SOX and audit responsibilities described above
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Financial system implementation, such as SAP and OneStream

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part of the time at the Company location identified above and part of the time remotely from your home. The salary range for this role is $119K to $175K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
