NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Community Coordinator, Gaming and Esports based in Charlotte, NC.

The Community Coordinator, Gaming and Esports is focused on supporting

NASCAR's exploding Gaming and Esports initiatives (eNASCAR). The Community Manager will leverage esports and gaming content to drive improved fan experiences, support revenue generation, and maximize partnership opportunities.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for creating and managing the online voice of eNASCAR to build brand awareness within the online community.
• Develop initiatives and campaigns to grow the eNASCAR community and amplify industry identity.
• Identify important community concerns and ideas and communicate them successfully to senior management with a clear action plan.
• Interact with the community daily through various channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and Discord.
• Assist in outreach to community managers and game developers to build, grow and foster safe communities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Content, Brand, and Licensing to ensure campaign goals, player-facing messages and experiences are aligned across all marketing channels.
• Stay on top of current trends in the digital and social spheres and providing actionable recommendations to social team when there is an opportunity for clients.
• Collaborate with NASCAR Digital Media to create social and digital campaigns that support key Gaming initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, direct competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
• Identify gaming influencers and build go-to-market strategies that support key NASCAR campaigns.
• Develop community engagement programs and gather player feedback that directly influences eNASCAR partnerships.
• Ensure timely updates and maintenance of institutional marketing platforms, e.g., eNASCAR.com.
• Manage, update, and deliver eNASCAR insights to inform overall esports and gaming initiatives and update stakeholders; optimize and implement feedback to foster engagement.
• Assist with various eNASCAR Series operations including, but not limited to marketing initiatives, team deliverables, communications, management, etc.
• Honor our commitment to maintain a diverse and inclusive environment embracing different voices, experiences, and perspectives
• Travel: 10-15%, including weekends

Required skills / experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of three (3) years related experience in gaming, social media or community management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
• Experience in esports, social media and/or gaming verticals is required.
• Current in-depth knowledge of social media channels, best practices, and emerging trends.
• Hands on experience with social media management for brands.
• Avid gamer who enjoys playing games of all genres and has a passion for growing and fostering communities.
• Experience with social listening tools to monitor and analyze content performance, social sentiment, and audience growth.
• A mind for developing communications tools to help moderations.
• Must be willing to engage in lengthy conversations about NASCAR!
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to manage, communicate, and collaborate effectively across all levels in the organization and with stakeholders.
• Ability to work evenings to support and oversee eNASCAR events.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across verticals.
